Review:

I have never heard of a venture such as 'Face Off' where authors from all different publishers join forces and have their lead characters meet each other. A huge amount of credit must go to the International Thriller Writers and David Baldacci for making this happen. The tales are disparate and it was great to catch up with old friends such as Harry Bosch, Reacher, Nick Heller, Lincoln Rhyme, Roy Grace and many others. As well as the old friends, I particularly enjoyed meeting new characters such as Repairman Jack, Alexandra Cooper and to my eternal shame as a Scotsman, John Rebus. The strongest stories came from Child + Finder, Deaver + Sandford and of course, Lehane + Connelly. Only one of the stories didn't quite work for me and that was more to do with my tastes than the quality of the writing. I can thoroughly recommend this anthology to any fan of crime action thrillers.
