As ever, Koontz goes straight for the kill. Never one to preamble, his book starts with action and continues in this vein to the very last page. Mitch is your typical 'good guy'. He is a hard working, law abiding good husband who is well liked. Unfortunately, he is in the wrong place at the wrong time. And, pushed into a corner, he comes out fighting.
