Gary Dolman

Gary Dolman was born near Newcastle in the industrial north of England in the 1960s. He now lives in Ripon in North Yorkshire with his wife, three children and dogs. Gary's writing reflects his fascination by the human mind, and by what might happen should it become aberrant or disturbed. His debut novel, THE EIGHTH CIRCLE OF HELL, (Thames River Press, Reynard Press) is set during the time of the greatest social scandal in recent British history; the Victorian Defloration Mania. It uses the disturbed and fractured memories of a workhouse 'imbecile' to explore the very essences of love and hatred. RED DRAGON-WHITE DRAGON, (Thames River Press, Reynard Press) takes us to remote Northumberland, where a series of bizarre, ritualised murders appear to centre on the Arthurian delusions of a madman, who lives alone on the edge of the moors. THE SATYR'S DANCE (Spring 2016, Reynard Press) is set in the esoteric revival of the late 19th Century. A sudden appearance of a travelling freak show sparks a series of bizarre attacks in the spa of Harrogate. Atticus and Lucie Fox uncover a web of secrets that stretch back into classical antiquity.
